When & How to Use The Dental Fulkrum™
Anterior Temporary Crown, Veneer and Bridge Removal Problems
- Approaching the patient’s face with a hemostat can be intimidating.
- Anterior teeth are more pointed and slippery when using a hemostat to remove and sometimes slips, catches and injures the lip.
- While removing an anterior temporary, there’s a tendency to press hard with the hemostat since they’re pointed and slippery resulting in crushing/destroying the temporary not being able to use it if permanent crown is not perfect and having to redo or sending it back to lab removing without destroying temps.
- Using Dental Fulkrum™ prevents rocking or luxating back and forth while removing an anterior temporary. Using a hemostat can break the underlining core.
- Using Dental Fulkrum™ decreases core breakage under temps.
- The Dental Fulkrum™ helps dislodge a tight fit porcelain crown that is being tried on a tooth.

How to Use Dental Fulkrum™
- Use both hands to position and engage the temporary.
- Rest the tool on adjacent teeth then slide the other end around gingival end of temporary.
- If tool keeps slipping, place a horizontal ledge on facial of temporary using the Handpiece, then rest tool at that ledge for support making easier to remove a very tight temporary.
- Apply desired pressure while covering temporary with one hand to remove temporary.
